Description
The Director of Genetics & Biotechnology will lead Pharmedic’s genetic and biotechnology strategy, overseeing clinical laboratory operations, partnered clinics, and R&D programs to ensure the delivery of accurate, compliant, and clinically actionable genetic services. This role is pivotal in establishing Pharmedic’s genetic infrastructure, ensuring all genetic screening reports and workflows comply with UAE laws, College of American Pathologists (CAP) Clinical Laboratory Improvement Amendments (CLIA) standards, American College of Medical Genetics and Genomics (ACMG), Association for Molecular Pathology (AMP) and U.S. Food Drug Administration (FDA), and Ministry of Health and Preventionguidelines.
As Pharmedic advances its clinical and R&D footprint, the Director will progressively assume broader leadership responsibilities across national and international genetics initiatives, positioning the role to formally transition into Chief Genetics Officer (CGO). In this capacity, the individual will serve as Pharmedic’s executive leader for genetics, shaping long-term strategy, partnerships, and scientific leadership in precision medicine.
