Job Summary

To participate in the inspection, operation, maintenance, and repair of equipment at client sites, ensuring all activities are performed in compliance with Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) standards.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Assist in the inspection and assessment of equipment to ensure it is operating effectively and safely.
  • Support the operation and routine maintenance of equipment, following established guidelines and procedures.
  • Participate in troubleshooting and repairing equipment issues under the supervision of experienced personnel.
  • Adhere to all HSE standards policies to maintain a safe working environment for all personnel.
  • Document service activities, including inspections, maintenance tasks, and repairs, with attention to detail.
  • Travel to client sites as required. Realize that the duty rotation may be impacted by outside influences, and you may be required to change schedule at short notice. 
  • Maintain a close working relationship with all the crew members, supervisors, and management within the NOV organization.
  • Ensure service quality is continually enhanced. Set a high standard in safety, operations, maintenance, and repair, to ensure that the customer is satisfied with the value that our equipment and people bring to their operation.
  • Actively participate in HSE on all aspects of your duties.
  • Ensure that NOV and customer policies are adhered to.
  • Actively participate in rig site safety initiatives, meetings and /or safety programs from the customer.
  • Address any equipment performance concerns to your supervisor immediately.
  • Participate in all training programs as deemed necessary by either NOV or the customer.
  • Recognizing the fact that not every aspect of the job can be detailed and that requirements can change over the course of employment, any other duties that may be assigned, that are not detailed above are to be diligently performed to the best of your abilities.

EDUCATIONAL QUALIFICATION & EXPERIENCE REQUIRED

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical Engineering, or a related field. Equivalent work experience may also be considered.
  • Proven background in Mechanical, Electrical, or Solids Control/ Waste Management roles would be advantageous.
  • Experience in mechanical, electrical, or solids control/waste management roles is advantageous.
  • Offshore or field experience in the drilling industry is highly desirable.
  • Fluency in English is mandatory for effective communication with clients and team members.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical documents and manuals in English.
  • Knowledge of Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) standards and procedures.
  • Training in specific safety programs such as Basic Offshore Safety Induction and Emergency Training (BOSIET) or H2S awareness is beneficial.
  • Commitment to safety and quality, with a proactive approach to identifying and mitigating risks in the field.
